Now we know...

October 27, 2006 will make 17 years me and Brandi have been dating. So, for 17 years, 13 years of marriage, we've always noticed that look in other couples eyes. That tired, confused, aggrevated, stressed, exhausted look. We wondered what was wrong with all you guys and gals. We thought ya'll weren't saved and needed Jesus! We were so happy knowing we didn't have that look in our eyes or those expressions on our face.

Then, today we had wake up and feed Jada, then get her dressed, then get dressed ourselves and go eat our selves, then feed Jada again, change her diaper, clean her nose, hold her cause she still has a cold and wants to be held constantly, pack her diaper bag, be frightened because we may have forgotten to pack something, then go to Wal-mart and pack a baby! We had to watch her, hold her, wipe her nose, change her diaper, give her a drink in Wal-mart, WAIT, WE FORGOT THE DIAPER BAG ON THE BUS!! Grab a bottle off the rack and a bottle of water and baby juice, open all of them before we bought it (try explaining THAT to the cashier who is fluent in Cantonese and NOT ENGLISH!!), grab KFC to go cause we're SICK OF CHINESE FOOD!!, feed Jada, wipe her nose, lay her down for a nap, eat KFC (which is cold now), drink Coke (watered down, ice melted) now take a nap..... WAIT!!! Jada is awake! It's ONLY 12:30pm....

Now we know....

Trust me, it'll get easier. Some helpful advice from an OCD friend; make a list of everything you need to bring with you every time you leave the house. Type it, use a girly font so it's cute looking, laminate it if you want. Keep a copy in the pockets of each diaper bag- that way you can reference the list to make sure you have everything you need. This way you won't have to rely on your brains at all (b/c as you've already found out- your brain isn't always the most reliable tool that you have when it comes to dealing with kids- especially when your in a hurry!)

It's all worth it... !

Man I thought I had it rough at Wal-mart. Never did we consider the trials and tribulations at Wal-mart and then have to deal with a language barrier. You are a brave man, Gered Lambert.
Now y'all quit messing around and get back here with Jada!

I cannot tell you guys how happy I am for you! If anyone is capable of the stresses of parenthood, it's y'all. You are both such incredible people and God will give you the patience and the strength you need in everyday life. Jada is absolutely beautiful and my heart is overflowing with joy and happiness for God's abundant blessings. Never forget that Jada is a gift, not a responsibility.
Y'all are amazing and Chris and I love you!!!!!!!!

okay this is the stuff that us as parents live to hear from ameatures!! ;-)
We notice that look in your eyes too - that wow - life is so great look. NOw you know. It does get easier though and they'll be days where that look never crosses your face, and then there'll be the tears that stream down when she has her irst dance recital or acts like she's you Brandi. Overall, with an ADD child, a healed Autistic child and a very needy toddler, I still can say that there are a lot more good days than bad. God is good and he's got goodness in store for you.
Love you,
Jessica
