Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City & The Summer Palace
Wow! Today was chock-a-block full! We still haven't caught up with the normal sleep schedule, so we were up at 4am this morning staring at the ceiling. We went at breakfast at 7am and headed out to the tours at 9am. We got back to our room tonight at 8pm. We walked about 7 hours today.
We were in awe of the city of Beijing. Every, and I really mean "every", place we traveled had city blocks full of multiple story buildings. I'm talking 5, 10, 20 story buildings. It's massive. 15 million people in Beijing and its the 3rd largest city in China. There are over 2 million bicycles registered with the government. Yes, you have to register and pay taxes on your bicycle. Anyway, the city is hugungous!

I've seen lots of pics of gered and brandi -everybody better remember what they look cause pretty soon all the pics will be of Jada! ha ha by the way, it's not that i am "aononymous" i just don't have a blog password set up or a webpage so i have to go this route i suppose to post a comment. i don't do these kinds of blog comments very often. have fun and get rested up before the BIG day! the adrenaline itself will wear you down! :-)

Isn't the adoption journey so much more than you could have ever imagined and you don't even have Jada in your arms yet! I just love adoption!

Hi Aimee'! The whole time we're walking around all these historic places I'm thinking, "48 hours 'til Jada... 36 hours 'til Jada..." This is all wonderful, but the MAIN EVENT IS MONDAY!!

Yeah! I know how you feel. When we were going to get Zoe we had to wait as well and Peru was great to see but we kept thinking we have waited too long to not have her in our arms NOW!!!!! I felt like we were just wasting time until we got her.
However, after you let everything settle in and Jada is in your arms you will be able to look at all these wonderful pics and show Jada her home country. Pretty cool!

oh sorry, Dawson got a hold of the keyboard for a minute there. Looks like y'all are having a great time. Can't wait to see everybody (especially Jada) upon your return
