Busy Couple of Days

Thursday, we had to go to the New Orleans Office of USCIS to check and see why we haven't recieved our updated I-171H. It's a form that verifies our Federal Background check was OK. We got there and told them the situation and they told us they would mail it out to us that day. It came in the mail Friday. No Problem...

Then AWAA sent us an email Friday:

Hello Travel Group 116,

We are happy to announce the arrival of all Travel Approvals!

Your travel group will still tentatively depart for China on Thursday August 24th and will return to the US any where between September 6th - 8th. We have moved forward to request your Consulate appointment and hope to hear back from the Consulate within the next 3-5 business days with a confirmed date.

Once we receive the official Consulate appointment date we will be able to establish concrete travel dates, finalize flights, and complete in country arrangements. Please continue to wait patiently for concrete travel dates, as we promise to contact you as soon as we have any new information.

Congratulations again! You all handled the long wait for travel approvals with amazing grace and peace. Thank you.

This is real good news. We should have concrete travel dates next week. Also on Friday, we sent out the Baby Shower invitations. We got word today that some got them in the mail today.

We also had the Adoption Workshop today. The turnout was great, it seems to grow each time we have one. Here are some pics:
